The Daisy Foundation

Elevating The Heroes In Healthcare

What is the DAISY Foundation?

The DAISY Foundation was formed in November, 1999, by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 of complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The nursing care Patrick received when hospitalized profoundly touched his family and they formed The DAISY Foundation as a result.  Read more about why they started The DAISY Foundation here.

MIX has been a proud partner of The DAISY Foundation since 2007. We started as a pro-bono partner and have become the agency-of-record as they’ve grown and we completed their rebrand in 2014. The DAISY Foundation is that rare organization that helps bring forward and recognize those in the nursing profession that are often overlooked. We at MIX are just happy to participate in some small way.
